Institute for Biblical Research and Oriental Studies

Who are we?

The Institute for Biblical Research and Oriental Studies Inc. aka IBROS is a 501(c)3 non profit corporation, founded in 2008.

What’s our purpose?

IBROS was designed, and established to be a vehicle, to tunnel through the mountains of misunderstanding, to avoid the detours of extraneous philosophies of men, mythologies, and mistranslations; to build a bridge between modern day and ancient culture and customs; to blaze a straight path to the individual’s divine destiny in their walk with God.

How do we accomplish this?

To build the framework we use a step by step road map.

Giving instruction in the following areas:

  • Manuscripts and related Ancient Writings
  • Non Occidental Customs, Mannerisms and Culture
  • Figures of Speech, Idioms used in Ancient writings and scripture
  • Aramaic and Koine
  • Archaeological Evidence

Why is this Important?

Without proper instruction, the realization of God’s great work and accomplishments through His anointed son, Jesus our Lord cannot be known, applied nor correctly understood.  For how can the great commandment of living by every word of God, as given by Moses in Deuteronomy, and by Jesus in Luke  be fulfilled if the words of God are not understood or the perceived meaning is in error?

Additionally, how handicapped would a person be if the very foundation of his or her own rights and power in the Lord is not correctly known or understood, and how greatly might that error be compounded if that error is taught as doctrine to others who sincerely seek the knowledge of God?

Our objective is:

To illuminate the scriptures, by  revealing suppressed or hidden knowledge possessed by Eastern scholars that still practice and speak the languages of the ancient cultures.

While steering clear of obstructions and detours of modern dogmas, myths, and translational errors, and preconceived images and interpretations that are incongruent with the original teachings in the scriptures, that taint and distort the Truth.

To follow the course of understanding as originally given in the scriptures.

What is our Mission?

We recognize the great need for Biblical accuracy and the utmost requirement to research and test for the truth in our perception, knowledge and understanding of God’s inerrant Word as it was given to his prophets.

It is our greatest desire to provide the tools, methods and principles of research,  giving the means to apply the resulting truth for increased understanding, which is an absolute necessity for growth and development of laity and ordained alike.

This is for those who want to live by the words spoken by Jesus, our Lord in Luke 4:4b  “… It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.”
